Loss of a Family Member

Death Certificate Services

Losing a loved one is never easy. Although paperwork may be the last thing on your mind, it is necessary to make sure you have completed the required procedures.

A death certificate can help you arrange a funeral, notify businesses, close bank accounts, and settle the deceased’s estate.

Through the National Portal, bahrain.bh, citizens can request a death certificate and print the death report. The eService also allows employers to verify the death report.

Deaths that occur inside the Kingdom must be reported within 72 hours from the date of death, and 60 days in cases where the death occurs outside the Kingdom.

For more information about the procedures and documents required in different cases of death, please visit the Birth and Death Certificate Registration & Issuance Procedures page.
