As part of Primary Healthcare, the Department of Health Records archives public health data on behalf of the public. The department is continuously being developed through staff training and improvements to the quality of its services.
Internationally approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and implemented in more than 70 countries, Bahrain carries out a National Health Survey in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA).
Its aim is to record relevant health data that can be integrated into health information systems for analysis. The survey examines the overall health of Bahrain’s public and determines whether the current healthcare system is meeting their demands. It also serves as a database that helps decision-makers develop better health policies and programs.
This project will contain the entire population’s health information, which decision-makers can use to develop future strategies that help the Kingdom achieve further milestones.
