    This law covers the provisions for automated data processing, in whole or in part, the general legality framework, the provisions for the transfer of personal data outside the Kingdom, and the establishment and organisation of the competent authority.

    This law included the definition and identity of the author and the conditions for him/her to be defined as such, as well as the legal protection enjoyed by the author. The law also deals with works subject to legal protection and the financial rights arising from them.
  • Law No. (12) of 2008 (PDF, 393KB, 1 page, Arabic only) amending Article (13) of Law No. (22) of 2006 regarding the protection of copyright and related rights.
    This law permits the rights holder to submit works protected in accordance with its provisions and with the competent administrative authority.
  • Law No. (3) of 2011 (PDF, 109KB, 1 page, Arabic only) amending some provisions of the Trademarks Act and the protection of copyright and related rights.
    This law replaces the phrase "Minister of Customs Affairs" with "Minister of Finance", wherever they are mentioned in the two laws.

    This law aims to establish further protection of works, and also increases the penalty for anyone who violates its provisions.
  • Law No. (6) of 2014 (PDF, 3.2MB, 20 pages, Arabic only) approving the Trademarks Law (System) of the GCC Countries.
    This law establishes legal trademarks protection in the GCC countries, their registration procedures, and the forms of legal protection enjoyed by trademarks.
  • Resolution No. (65) of 2016 (PDF, 1,451KB, 15 pages, Arabic only) issuing the executive regulations for the Trademarks Law (System) of the GCC Countries issued by Law No. (6) of 2014.
    This decision implements the provisions of the Trademarks Law (System) of the GCC Countries, putting them into effect in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
