Bahrain is committed to protecting children’s rights and ensuring their physical and psychological safety. Responding to violence or abuse against children is an essential part of the national emergency system.
If you suspect child abuse, whether physical, psychological, verbal, or neglect, contact the authorities immediately. All cases are handled confidentially to ensure the child’s safety and prompt intervention.
Reporting child abuse online (992)
With the growth of online activity, children are more exposed than ever to cyber risks, including cybercrime, online bullying, grooming, exploitation, and blackmail.
The General Directorate for Anti-Corruption & Economic & Electronic Security offers several ways to report such incidents:
- Calling the hotline 992
- Reporting via MyGov app by using the Report a Child Abuse in Cyberspace service with video call support
- Filling the online reporting forms

Child Helpline (998)
The Child Helpline is a free 24/7 service run by the Ministry of Social Development. It accepts reports from children themselves, family members, or any concerned person if a child is at risk of violence or abuse.
The helpline not only receives reports but also provides guidance, psychological and social support, and refers cases to the appropriate authorities to ensure fast and effective intervention.
