The Convention is about protecting full human rights of persons with disabilities and ensuring their full equality under the law.

The law includes provisions related to children's right to health, food, social care, education and alternative care, the right of a disabled child to care, rehabilitation, and education. In addition, it protects the child from abuse through the establishment of a Child Protection Center and stipulated different penalties for violating the provisions contained therein.
